Review meeting on ongoing development process in AJK held

ACS urges departments to improve their performance,

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) A special review meeting on ongoing development process in AJK held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary(ACS) (Development) Dr.Syed Asif Hussain here on Thursday.

Addressing the meeting the ACS directed the heads of the all departments to ensure 100% expenditures against the released developmental funds till 31 March as funds from federal government were released in time.

He said that Rs.14 billion are available with departments which should be spent in time so work on ongoing projects be completed without compromising on quality and transparency in time.

He said that total 53% of Development Budget has been spent so far against the release of Rs.14 billion.

He urged the departments to improve their performance during the 3rd quarter of the fiscal year and review their performance on weekly basis so that developmental funds be spent in time.

He praised the capacity and performance of the departments in utilising the developmental funds so far.

Secretary Information,Tourism and Information Technology Ms.Midhat Shahzad,Secretary Planning and Development Muhammad Ishaq,Secretary SDMA Shahid Muyyudin Qadri,Secretary SERRA Zaheer Uddin Qureshi,Secretary Social Welfare Khawaja Ahsan,Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Ejaz Ahmad Khan,Secretary Sports,Youth and Culture Syed Zahoor ul Hasan Gillani,Secretary Forests Shehla Waqqar,Secretary PPH Sharif Dar,DG Information Raja Azhar Iqbal,DG Tourism Irshad Pirzada,DG Agriculture Khawaja Khurshid and other officials attended the meeting.
