7 buffaloes buried alive after cattle yard collapsed due to torrential rains

MIRPUR: At least seven buffaloes were buried alive after a cattle yard building caved in following torrential rains in Mirpur Azad Jammu Kashmir on Thursday.

Rescue 1122 immediately rushed the scene of occurrence and rescued five of the cattle heads from the collapsed building located in local densely-populated sector C/1 in Mirpur city.

Rescue operation lasted for over four hours during which locals also actively participated to save the live stock.

Various parts of AJK including Mirpur are in the grip of torrential rains in planes and snowfall on upper reaches since Wednesday that partially paralyzed the daily life. Ends
