ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has issued interim order in Asghar Khan case.
According to order Defence Ministry has informed the court that proceedings against the army officers involved in the matter is underway. This proceeding is being carried out in the light of SC orders. Therefore, time be given to complete this proceeding. While FIA has said in its report on this matter that it has entered into blind alley and any further action in this case stands next to impossible.
The Court while ordering defence ministry to complete inquiry against the army officers involved in the matter within 4 weeks and file report thereof before it, has observed that court will decide on the report of ministry of defence and FIA. The court will see if its orders have been implemented or otherwise.
As per interim order the court will decide to take further action or otherwise in the matter in the light of interior ministry and defence ministry reports.
