Irshad Ranjhani’s murder: FIR lodged after widespread protests

Malir Karachi: After widespread protests, sit-ins and rallies in Sindh the FIR of Irshad Ranjhani’s murder has finally been lodged against UC cattle colony chairman Rahim Shah, his son Hassan Shah, police officers DSP Shaokat Shahni, Sub Inspector Riaz Amir and 2 unknown guards of UC chairman finally.

The FIR against Shah has been lodged under the section of terrorism act and acts 320, 322,324, PPC 34 and ATA 7 at Shah Latif Police Station.

Police officers DSP Malir City Shaokat Shahni, Sub Inspector Riaz Amir are mentioned in FIR because of their negligence, whereas Sub inspector Riaz Amir has been dismissed immediately from his job by DIG East.

This case has also been discussed in provincial assembly and chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has taken a firm stand and has sought a detailed report of the incident from Sindh inspector general of police.
