MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK President, Prime Minister and Information Minister issued special messages on Kashmir Solidarity Day.
President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan said Feb 5 which is being observed for several decades is reflection of inseparable relation and bond between people of Pakistan and AJK. It is recognition of religious, cultural and social harmony between Pakistanis and Kashmiris, he added. He said Kashmiri Muslims had linked their future with Pakistan even before creation of the country. Kashmiris are proud of that decision as Pakistan did not leave them alone in the hours of trials or difficulty, he stated. He believed that Kashmiris and Pakistanis are part and parcel and added that Pakistan’s overwhelming observation of solidarity day is morale boosting to Kashmiris. The President appealed to the United Nations to build pressure over India to stop massive human rights violations in IHK and ensure implementation of world body’s resolutions on Kashmir without further delay.
Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan in his message said that Muslims of India had made a decision to link their future with Pakistan in the resolution of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference on July 19,1947 and they want to exercise this right through democratic way of right to self-determination but despite pledges by world body Kashmiris have not been granted this right even after 7-decades. India instead deprived people of J&K from their basic rights and crushed their indigenous freedom movement through military might and draconian laws, he observed. He said India had enforced governor rule in Kashmir and committing all sorts of brutalities against people of held valley to stifle their voice for liberation struggle. India he said was clearly engage in war crimes and genocide of Kashmiris and the irony is that international community had opted to be a silent spectator to these worst cruelties and human rights abuses. He said youths were being deprived of their visions through the use of pellet guns while thousands of Kashmiris are languishing in the jails.
The Information Minister Mushtaq Minhas said that Feb 5 renews the pledge of people of Kashmir that liberation struggle would continue until the entire state was liberated from Indian clutches and acceded to Pakistan. He said people of Pakistan and AJK stand with their brethren in this difficult time. He said India was indulged in war crime in IHK therefore the door of war crime tribunal should be knocked to file war crime case against her. On Kashmir Solidarity Day he appealed to international community to help resolve longstanding Kashmir issue which poses a serious threat to peace in South Asia.
