ISLAMABAD : (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has called upon Pakistan to formulate a policy on Kashmir in consultation with the leadership of AJK and (All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).
Addressing All Parties Kashmir Conference here on Saturday he said the role of Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and leadership of APHC to highlight Kashmir issue over the globe should be determined. He said government of Pakistan should move ahead than just expressing moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir.
The premier affirmed that UNSC resolutions on Kashmir were basis of Kashmir issue adding that question does not arise to ignore them. Despite braving world’s worst repressions and horrific atrocities at the hands of Indian forces, spirits of people in the valley are very high and they are determined to take the freedom movement to its logical conclusion.
He urged national media to adequately highlight the atrocities, state-sponsored terrorism and massive human rights abuses being committed by Indian forces against Kashmiris. He pointed out that Kashmir Committee in Parliament does not control Foreign Ministry; It could just give its suggestions. The Prime Minister said foreign ministry should help Kashmiris highlighting their case at international level as Where-ever we went for this purpose we went at our own.
Mr. Haider believed that observing Kashmir solidarity with oppressed people of IHK by Pakistanis and people of AJK send pretty positive message across the LoC.
He reiterated that political and economic stability of the country strengthens resolve of struggling people of Jammu and Kashmir whose ultimate goal is Pakistan.
The conference, hosted by former Chairman Kashmir Committee Moulana Fazalur Rehman, was addressed by former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Raja Zafarul Haque, Liaquat Baloch, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Latif Akbar, Nayyar Bukhari, Syed Yousuf Nasim, Hamid Mir and others.
