MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has ordered for repair of all worship places of non-Muslims in Azad Kashmir.
Chairing a high level meeting here on Monday the Premier directed the concerned authorities to construct state of the art museums, in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur.
They should consist of photos of Kashmiri martyrs and injured and important events of Kashmir liberation struggle, he stated. One of its parts would be on liberation struggle and important documents on it while the second part would consist of history of Kashmir and historic antiques.
The meeting also decided to set up a children library and office accommodation for Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. The Premier directed the meeting to prepare master plan for secretariat of liberation cell. It urged for an early completion of construction of buildings of Kashmir centers in different cities of Pakistan.
Addressing the meeting the Prime Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure immediate repair of temple in Madina Market and Hindu community in Pakistan should be contacted to take care of it. He also directed that Muzaffarabad fort may also be renovated and a complete report should be submitted to him on Mughal Inn.
Mr. Haider said that protection of national heritage was responsibility of government. He said concerned institutes should ensure that historical places are well protected in AJK. He said immediate steps should be taken to repair damaged historic buildings and added that such buildings should be saved from illegal encroachers. He said he wished that the museum should be operational sooner than later.
