JAKARTA : The parliamentary delegation of Azad Jammu and Kash after visiting Malaysia has reached Indonesia on Saturday. The delegation led by leader of the opposition Ch. Muhammd Yasin also include Speaker AJK legislative assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, ministers Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, MLA Sagheer Chughtai, Abdul Majid Khan, and Secretary Assembly Chaudhry Basharat.The delegation called on head of center for strategic and international Jakarta Phillip Vermonte. The delegation discussed with him historic back ground, prevailing situation and practicable formula of Kashmir issue. It added that resolution of Kashmir was key to peace in former subcontinent. The delegation apprised Vermonte that Kashmir was the main issue between the two countries and its resolution could normalize the relations between the nuclear rivals. It said that world should raise its voice for settlement of this longstanding issue. The delegation also visited Jakarta University and told the historic background of Kashmir issue. It told that it was India that took the issue to UN which passed resolutions on Kashmir and decided that people of Jammu and Kashmir would be given their right to self-determination but later UN resolutions could not be implemented due to India’s obduracy.
