Decision not to conduct judicial inquiry in Sahiwal incident challenged


Lahore: The decision not to conduct judicial inquiry of Sahiwal massacre has been challenged in the Lahore High Court. Petitioner has filed a petition before the LHC while talking the plea that parents of the children were gunned down in front of children in Sahiwal massacre case. Government should have to constitute a commission for judicial inquiry as it cannot feel free after making JIT. On the other hand, District Bar Islamabad demonstrated strike upon Sahiwal massacre on Monday and boycotted court proceeding. Lawyers also not appeared before the court in district bar association Rawalpindi. Court proceedings also remained suspended in Peshawar High Court Bar. K-P Bar Council demanded inquiry against the suspects involved in the incident. Lawyers in District Bar Association Attock also staged a demonstration while wearing black bands against the incident. Lawyers also staged a strike against Sahiwal incident in district bar association.
