AJK PM calls upon the jail authorities to provide urgent relief to Ex-PM Nawaz Sharif

MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) Expressing concerns over deteriorating health of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan called upon the jail authorities to provide immediate relief to Sharif.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Mr. Haider said Sharif remained three times prime minister of the country and is leader of millions of people. His political victimization like this is unacceptable to his followers, he added. He said specially Kashmiris are concerned over the news of health of Quaid-e-Pakistan who always took good care of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded that Sharif should have complete access to doctors at a time when he has health issues.
Mr. Haider lamented that Nawaz Sharif was not being allowed to see his personal physician. He made it clear that PML-N Azad Kashmir stands like a rock with their leader (Nawaz Sharif). He recalled that it was Sharif who as Prime Minister and party head enhanced the share of AJK from federal receipts after 26 years. The AJK legislative assembly got administrative and financial powers through amendment in the provisional act after 44 years while development budget of the state was doubled first time in 70 years, he maintained. He said long pending matters of royalty of Neelum-Jhelum and Mangla dam were agreed upon between federal and AJK government. It was all due to support of Nawaz Sharif, he stated. Sharif he said visited AJK many times as Prime Minister. “In one of his visits Sharif presided a special session for more than 5 hours to resolve problems faced to the people of the State. Sharif consulted AJK leadership at Muzaffarabad before proceeding to the United Nations to address it”, he said. He said people of IHK and AJK would never forget Nawaz Sharif as their leader.
