JKLF stages protest against wanton killings by Indian forces in IoK


Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) staged a protest demonstration outside the National Press Club in Islamabad to against Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
The participants were carrying placards, chanting slogans and demanded international community to take notice of grave human rights violations in the held territory and the arrest of Hurriyat leaders.
Speakers on the occasion said that Indian armed forces in their fresh acts of state terrorism have killed dozens of innocent civilians in South Kashmir’s district Pulwama. The protesters expressed concern over the unabated wave of killings by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir and warned New Delhi against the use of brutal tactics to crush the Kashmiris’ freedom movement.
The participants urged the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and impress upon New Delhi to stop nocturnal raids and arrest of Hurriyat leaders and activists including JKLF Chairman M Yasin Malik. JKLF leaders who spoke on the occasion said that the police had arrested JKLF chairman and his associates after subjecting them to severe torture when they tried to lead a march towards Badami Bagh military headquarters in Srinagar.
Of those who spoke on the occasion included, JKLF spokesman M Rafiq Dar, Dr. Nazir Gilani, M Farooq Rehmani, Altaf Hussain Wani, JKLF senior vice chairman Ab Hameed Butt, Salemm Haroon, Dr. Touqeer Gilani and several others.
