Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that we pray that peace be established in the Afghanistan adding Pakistan helped in conducting talks between US and Afghan Taliban.
PM further said that we will take every possible step in the future too for establishment of peace in Afghanistan.
In his message on social networking site twitter, PM said, “Pakistan has helped in the dialogue between Taliban and the US in Abu Dhabi. Let us pray that this leads to peace and ends almost three decades of suffering of the brave Afghan people. Pakistan will be doing everything within its power to further the peace process.”
It is vital to mention here that last day Afghan peace dialogues were held in Abu Dhabi with the help of Pakistan at which all the representatives including Taliban agreed on continuation of talk’s process.
Taliban representatives who attended the meeting will discuss all the agenda with their Shura and after discussion they will hold meeting with US representative for Afghan negotiation process Zalmay Khalilzad.
Besides US and Afghan Taliban, UAE and Saudi officials were also part of the talks.
