RAWALPINDI: Health department Rawalpindi has worked out a new anti dengue plan for making district Rawalpindi dengue free in 2019.
Anti dengue campaign will be started forcefully from February 15, 2019 in next year across the district Rawalpindi.
The dengue patients figure in the allied hospitals stands next to nil at present, therefore dengue wards and dengue emergency have been abolished in these hospitals.
With the launching of new dengue plan those areas will be focused on daily basis from where dengue patients are admitted and dengue larva is found. Chemicals and toxic medicines will be sprayed daily in the standing water all over the district to eliminate dengue larva.
Anti dengue campaign will be launched in the educational institutions as well. Spray will be done in graves and open plots and junk shops. Dengue medicines and vaccines will be purchased timely. Health department will arrange its spray pumps. Workers strength will be increased and drive will be run by dividing district Rawalpindi in sectors. Dengue wards will be erected timely in hospitals. Deputy Commissioner will monitor anti dengue campaign on his own. Wherever the larva is found, the said place will be sealed, case will be registered against the owner and he will be sent to jail.
