Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has given a deadline of 30 days for the elimination of encroachments from government land and approval of maps in connection with illegal construction of houses and shops.
Chairman RDA Muhammad Arif Abbasi said that citizens should get approve maps of their houses, shops and plots within 30 days from concerned departments.
After 30 days, he said, legal action will be taken indiscriminately against buildings which have been constructed without approving the maps.
He further said that if citizens have to face any difficulties in approval of their building maps then they can contact the RDA Chairman office.
He further said that Qabza mafia should end their encroachments upon the local land of parks, playgrounds, graveyards and government land within 30 days voluntarily to avoid any loss.
He said after the deadline, strict action will be initiated against encroachments without issuing any notice.
He appealed to general public that they should join the government efforts to keep Rawalpindi city neat and clean.
