ISLAMABAD: The court has ordered to shift to Adiala jail TV Anchor Shahid Masood, arrested in PTV corruption case.
On expiry of 5 days physical remand, FIA presented Shahid Masood in the court of duty judge Inam Ullah on Thursday.
FIA took the plea that accused is charged with signing contract with a catering company to negotiate with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for grant of rights for coverage of cricket matches played in Pakistan.
Shahid Masood who was appointed as chairman PTV by former president Asif Ali Zardari during tenure of PPP had accorded approval to a contract for coverage of cricket match. A sum of Rs 37 million was paid to this fake company.
FIA requested the court to extend physical remand of the accused which was rejected and the court ordered to send Shahid Masood to Adiala jail on judicial remand.
