    Govt. committed to provide gas facility to masses: Murad Saeed

    Islamabad: (Parliament Times) State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has said that pragmatic arrangements are underway for provision of Sui Gas in various parts of the country and in Khyber Pakthunkhwa particularly. Sui Gas will be provided in Gul Jaba village after two weeks, while Sui Gas supply will be started at Kanju, Ali Grama, Hazara, Kabal after six weeks on issuance of NOC from KP Government. He was presiding over a high level briefing session regarding provision of Sui Gas in developing areas of the KP at Ministry of Communications here today. Senior officers from Ministry of Communications, Managing Director Sui Northern Gas Pipe Line Limited (SNGPL) Mr. Amjad Latif and senior officers participated.
    Expressing views Mr. Murad Saeed said, over endeavor is to provide Sui Gas facility to all the people keeping aside the political attachments and to this effect, the Federal and Provincial governments will extend all cooperation. He emphasized upon the need of ensuring quality work of spreading pipe lines to avoid any untoward incident afterwards. In order to ensure exact use of public money coordination among relevant departments is an imperative. He further said, works of spreading various lines related to infrastructure need to complete prior to construction of roads to eliminated chances of digging roads time and again. He expected that all the resources shall be utilized in the best possible way to meet the set targets. He informed that survey work for provision of Sui Gas from Kabal to Tall and Qalagy areas will be completed in ten days. Mr. Murad Saeed assured provision of required funds for providing Sui Gas facility to the people at large.
    It was told in the briefing that SNGPL provides services to the people round the clock and that practical steps are taken to achieve the targets. Resultantly a visible change is observed in performance of this department. A close coordination has been established among Finance, Planning, National Highway Authority and other relevant departments for ensuring provision of Sui Gas facility to the people at the earliest.
