Birmingham: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has said that the passion found in children and elderly people for construction of dams was seen during 1965 war only.
Talking to a private TV channel here he said dam fund campaign has remained highly successful. All including children and elderly persons are enthusiastic on the issue of construction of dams. This is not an ordinary situation but it has become a campaign now.
He held such spirit was witnessed during 1965 war.
Talking about population of Pakistan he said a conference will take place on December 12 or 13 in Supreme Court (SC) in connection with population control and planning. A task force has been set up on population control and planning. The leading experts and health secretary Capt (Retd) Saeed will participate therein. Report has also been worked out.
“The taskforce has compiled a report and will hold a conference at the Supreme Court in mid-December (December 12 or 13) which will be attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan and me,” he added. However forceful struggle will be waged to curb population growth.
