ISLAMABAD: Non disbursement of salary to the daily wages employees of federal educational institutions since the last six months has put them and their families on the brink of starvation.
According to media reports, non teaching staff was paid last nominal salary to the tune of Rs 15000 per month in the month of June and they still stand deprived of the salary for the period from July till November.
Daily wages employees particularly young teachers said that Asad Umar used to participate in their protest rallies when he was in the opposition and he also assured them to address their problems when he came to power but even salaries are not being paid what to speak of regularization of their jobs.
The employees demanded that they should be regularized in the light of decision of division bench of Islamabad High Court.
They warned if outstanding salaries are not paid to them till December 01 then they will be forced to boycott classes besides non discharging examination duties commencing from second week of December.
