“India engaged in a systematic genocide of Kashmiris: AJK PM”
LONDON: The All Parties Kashmir Conference (APKC) under Jammu & Kashmir Right to Self-determination International has expressed grave concerns over horrific atrocities and human rights abuses being committed by Indian forces against armless people of Jammu and Kashmir, says a dispatch received here.
The conference held in committee room of British Parliament here on Thursday demanded of international organizations especially the United Nations to play its decisive role to help Kashmiris attain their right to self-determination.
The conference was presided over by Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Right to Self-determination International Raja Najabat Hussain while AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan was chief guest on the occasion. It debated over the report moved by All Parties Parliamentary Kashmir Group.
Addressing the APKC Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan expressed profound gratitude to members British Parliament for submitting a comprehensive report echoing the voice of oppressed people of J&K who have been subjected to worst tyrannies by Indian forces. He said UN and human rights organizations would have to build pressure on India for crossing all limits of day out and day in cruelties in J&K. He drawn the conference’s attention to the use of infamous pellet guns that has deprived Kashmiri youth from their vision and badly wounded several thousand others. He said India was engaged in a systematic genocide of Kashmiris. APHC leaders are being detained, incarcerated and subjected to torture under draconian laws, he added. He said violence is being used against Kashmiris as a weapon in IHK. People of Kashmir have no human rights under brute Indian rule, he maintained.
“British government and many other countries of the world champion human rights but in Indian held Kashmir these very rights are being crushed and flagrantly abused. The HR champions should exert pressure on India to stop the reign of terror let loose against Kashmiris” he said.
The Premier lauded efforts of Chairman Right to Self-determination Raja Najabat Hussain in exposing the state terrorism of Indian occupation forces in British and other European countries.
Addressing the conference leader of the opposition in AJK Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin said that Kashmiris have continued their liberation struggle under very difficult circumstances. He said India has used all brute tactics against them but it could not cool down Kashmiris’ determination for freedom. He said report of BP is a clear proof of Indian brutalities for world nations and international organizations. He said international community should press India to prevent human rights abuses in IHK.
Addressing on the occasion Chairman APPKG MP Chris Lisle, threw light on the BP report and expressed deep concern over human rights violations in IHK. He lamented the silence of international community over these HR abuses and vowed to raise voice on all international forums against atrocities and HR violations in Kashmir. He said all the civilized nations of the world should fulfill responsibility of putting a stem to human rights violations in IOK.
Raja Najabat Hussain while speaking to the conference said that what more proof are needed to the world in the wake of BP report and UN human rights commission report that clearly speak massive human rights violations and state terrorism in IHK. He informed the participants of the conference on the activities made on diplomatic level and threw light on conferences and seminars held on Kashmir in British and EU countries. He was of the view that the efforts should be stepped up on diplomatic front under new strategy. Other members BP, shadow ministers including MP Naz Shah, MP Afzal Khan, also addressed on the occasion, Chairman Kashmir Conservative Friends of Kashmir MP Jack, MP Debi Abraham, MP Line Smith, Lord Qurban Hussain, Lord Nazir Ahmed, MP Faisal Rashid, MP Debi Line Macunzai.
PM Haider gave away shields to Chairman and members Conference of All Parties Kashmir Parliamentary Group. Special shield was given to MP Debi Abraham.
