LAHORE: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar to extend full support to Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar.
PM Imran Khan took immediate notice of the matter of video related to meeting between Jahangir Tareen and speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. Imran Khan along with Jahangir Tareen met governor Punjab Ghulam Sarwar on the night between Friday and Saturday.
PM said to governor Punjab in unequivocal terms that provincial matters be resolved through reconciliation and mutual understanding. Usman Buzdar is empowered chief minister and he should be fully supported. The internal differences can cause harm to both federal and Provincial governments. Therefore, sagacity should be paraded rather than taking any sentimental decision.
Imran also directed Sarwar to accelerate the pace of contacts in connection with Senate polls. He also asked governor Punjab to talk to members of assembly including allied parties.
An important meeting of allied parties has been summoned on November 14.
Supporting PM statement after the meeting, Chaudhry Sarwar said that Usman Buzdar is chief minister wielding full powers and is pursuing Imran Khan vision. Full cooperation with Usman Buzdar will continue and we will stand fully with Usman Buzdar in struggle for change.
