Rawalpindi: Special squads have been set up to ensure imposition of ban orders announced by home department Punjab under section 144 on burning municipal waste, tyres, plastic, polythene bags, and rubber and leather made goods
This was said by Deputy Director Environment Rawalpindi Azhar Iqbal.
He stated that these squads are visiting Rawalpindi city. This ban was imposed from October 1 and will remain in place till December 16 and purpose of this ban is to secure Air from pollution and to remain safe from smog which starts besides fog in winter season.
He added that surprise visits are being made at junk stores, , urban areas, brick kilns and markets for the implementation of these ban orders. Strict action will be taken against the violators of this ban.
He further added that it is our mutual responsibility to keep the environment clean and in this regard we all should perform our responsibilities in befitting manner.
