Islamabad: (Parliament Times) A signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding was held at PARC HQs, Islamabad between Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Islamabad and University of Science and Technology (USTB), Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to undertake a program of scientific, technical and academic collaboration for exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of national interest. A delegation from University of Science and Technology (USTB), Bannu headed by Dr. Hidayat Ullah Khan, Acting Chairman visited PARC HQs on 29th October, 2018 for the purpose.
The PARC and USTB, reorganizing that mutual scientific and technical cooperation will advance the state of science and technology within the country and strengthen the infrastructure.
As per terms & conditions of the Memorandum, PARC and University of Science and Technology, (USTB), Bannu will exchange and training of faculty, student’s supervision and technical personnel with no cost for research and academic development. Both parties will exchange of students for their research and internship and joint supervision of MS and Ph.D Students. PARC and USTB will also hold joint conferences, seminars and workshops at national and international level.
Dr. Hidayat Ullah Khan, Acting Chairman, University of Science and Technology (USTB), Bannu appreciated PARC efforts in agriculture sector and also thanked Dr. Yusuf Zafar, T.I, Chairman PARC who has kindly consented to get MoU signed between University of Science and Technology (USTB), Bannu and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC). He also appreciated the efforts of PARC for development of agriculture sector in the Country.
