Rawalpindi: Due to lack of interest by Provincial Minister of Higher Education Department Punjab still post of Chairman for Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi is lying vacant due to which salary to over 300 employees has not been disbursed. .
Even after lapse of a week, the additional charge of Rawalpindi Education Board Chairman could not be handed over resulting into non disbursement of salary to employees of education board. Commissioner Rawalpindi Saif Anjum was holding additional charge of chairman BISE but he was transferred last week and as a result BISE became deprived of its chairman. .
According to the media reports, due to vacant post of BISE Rawalpindi Chairman, the salary cheques for October in respect of more than 300 employees are still have not been signed because Secretary Education Board is authorized to issue only Rs75000 salary cheques while more than Rs75000 salary cheques can only be issued by the Chairman of Board.
The bills of Gas, Water and Electricity of month October of Education Board were also not paid because Chairman has to issue funds for these bills too.
