Lahore: Justice Retd Malik Qayyum while rejecting the claim of PCB Chairman Ihsan Mani said that investigation report regarding match fixing in 90s was not incomplete.
In an interview to a foreign news channel, Malik Qayyum said that the investigation report related to match fixing in 90s was not incomplete as implementation was made on his some recommendations including ban and fine imposed on Saleem Malik, Wasim Akram and other involved cricketers however, on some of the recommendations, not only implementation was not made but they are being ignored till yet.
Malik Qayyum in his recommendations had said that Saleem Malik was involved in match fixing so a life ban should be imposed on him, Wasim Akram should be sacked from captaincy while an eye should be kept on him besides making probe of his complete assets.
Life ban should also be imposed on Atta Ur Rehman.
Mushtaq Ahmad should not be given any responsibility in the board or in the team while an eye should be kept on him also.
It is vital to mention here that several days before when journalists asked a question from PCB Chairman Ihsan Mani about joining of Wasim Akram he replied that Justice Retd Qayyum had leveled some allegations and said that he will give the details later but no one has seen these details till yet.
Justice Retd while giving replies has thrown the ball in the court of Ihsan Mani.
