Karachi: Following a cyber attack on an Islamic bank of the country, State Bank has issued an advisory to the banks pertaining to payment cards.
According to State Bank hackers have attacked the system of card payments of Pakistani bank and resultantly the use of bank cards has been suspended internationally.
State Bank said that bank card has been used on different countries ATM and Point of Sale. However the bank has been directed to investigate the matter and make the system better.
According to State Bank the affected bank has been directed to keep their clients abreast with the situation through issuance of necessary instruction to them. And all banks have been directed to monitor the card payments in real time.
It is recalled that yesterday hackers attacked payments system of an Islamic bank of Pakistan and took away millions of dollars through credit and ATM cards of this bank.
