LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore office team on Monday brought former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif to Islamabad via Motorways to attend National Assembly session.
Shehbaz Sharif is currently in NAB Lahore team custody in connection with Ashiana Housing Society scandal. The country’s top accountability watchdog had arrested Shehbaz Sharif over his alleged involvement in the multi-billion rupees housing scheme scam.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar had issued production order for Shehbaz Sharif.
According to details, Shehbaz Sharif was supposed to travel to Islamabad from Lahore via Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight but the flight had been concealed at last moment.
Following the cancelation of the flight, the NAB administration decided to use Motorways to ensure Shehbaz attendance in the National Assembly.
