“Communication is the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs”
The word communication has many ramifications. It is basically a process of interaction with the people and their environment. Through such interac¬tions, two or more individuals influence the ideas, beliefs, and attitudes of each other. Such interactions take place through the exchange of information through words, gestures, signs, symbols, and expressions. In organizations, communication is a continuous process of giving and receiving information and to build social relationships.
Communication is very important for all beings. Animals and humans, alike, use their own separate languages to communicate with one another, because no one can survive without communicating. Communication skills are a part of the spoken and written language. These are the extra factors, which complete a communication process.
Communication refers to the exchange of thoughts and ideas with the intention of conveying information. Communication is a two way street that includes vocalization as well as gesticulation. The purpose of communication is to convey one’s beliefs, ideas, thoughts or needs with clarity so as to reach a consensus or a mutually acceptable solution. Good communication skills are a prerequisite for professionals, in all walks of life.
Communication does not refer only to articulating words. Using sign language and the sense of touch to express and feel are also important modes of communication. Ultimately, communication should be effective. As long as there is clarity in communication, the goal of communication will be accomplished.
Everyone experienced, at one time or another frustration of feeling misunderstood and being unable to make us understood by others.Anything which, block the meaning of communication is barrier of communication. Effective communication, is like a house built one block at a time. First to build a house trust must be built, trust is not a group process it is created in one to one connection with each individual. Second, be bold and open, better communication are clear, direct, respect, reflective and frequent.
Maintaining integrity in communication is an easy commitment to make theoretically, but hard to sustain in real life. Many aspect of the larger social culture we live in do not foster honesty, direct respectful communication , getting help to solve problems, being tolerant of differences, or being proactive in addressing concern.
Integrity means that you are honest and truthful in what you say or do. You put honesty, sense of duty, and sound moral principles above all else.
The single most important quality you can ever develop that will enhance every part of your life is the value of integrity. Integrity is the core quality of a successful and happy life. Having integrity means being totally honest and truthful in every part of your life.
