Rawalpindi: Provincial government has decided to construct 20 new boys and girls colleges in four divisions of Punjab including Rawalpindi.
According to media reports, directions have been given to directorate of colleges for preparation of a feasibility report of colleges in this regard.
These colleges will be constructed in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Sargodha.
4 colleges will be constructed in district Sargodha of Sargodha division, 4 in Bhakkar, one in Tehsil Murree of Rawalpindi division, 4 colleges in Gujranwala, Hafiz Abad division , one in district Narowal, one in Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur, districts of DG Khan, while three colleges will be constructed in district Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur division.
Out of these colleges, 12 colleges will be constructed for girls while eight colleges will be constructed for boys.
Provincial government want to start construction of these colleges as soon as possible that is why directorate of colleges have been directed to send feasibility report of all their colleges to Higher Education Commission within the next three days.
