“Denounces use of chemical weapons by Indian forces in IHK”
MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK cabinet headed by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan met here on Thursday.
The cabinet unanimously passed several resolutions in the meeting. Through a resolution rich tributes were paid to PhD scholar of IHK Dr. Manan Wani who was martyred by Indian forces in a bestial and brutal way. The meeting also strongly denounced using of chemical weapons in Bandipora by Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris and termed it flagrant violation of international law.
The cabinet meeting expressed serious concerns over Indian policy of trampling Kashmiris. The meeting demanded of United Nations, international human rights organizations and civilized nations to take notice of massive human rights violations and take practical step to prevent India from committing atrocities and state terrorism. It rejected the Punchayati local body polls held in IHK and said that valiant people of J&K by categorically rejecting these sham elections have made it clear on international community that they would neither accept any electoral process, held under cruel Indian rule in their territory nor take part in it.
Through another resolution the meeting expressed satisfaction over foreign minister’s effectively pleading of the stance of Pakistan on Kashmir at United Nations. It termed the demand of Pakistan for a UN commission to ascertain the human rights abuses by Indian forces in IHK as very legitimate and expected the world body for a prompt action. The meeting demanded the UN to get its longstanding resolutions on Kashmir implemented to resolve pestering Kashmir conflict.
The cabinet meeting strongly condemned Indian forces firing on the chopper of AJK Prime Minister at LoC. “The way national assembly through collective resolution condemned this incident and all political parties of the country expressed solidarity with AJK PM. even international media gave it appropriate coverage. It all exposed the heinous designs of India against Pakistan”, observed the cabinet. The meeting expressed profound gratitude to all concerned quarters for it.
Another resolution condemned the arrest of PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif by NAB. The actions taken by NAB has harmed the justice system of the country. “Arresting leader of opposition without any prior notice has also hurt the integrity of the parliament”, the resolution observed. The meeting demanded all political forces to abstain from political victimization and promote sense of tolerance.
Yet another resolution paid tributes to armed forces personnel and officers who laid down their lives in operations against terrorists in South Wazeeristan. It said the meeting understands that armed forces gave tremendous sacrifices in the war against terrorism as a result of which not only the country was freed from this menace but it was also acknowledged at international level. The meeting congratulated the entire nation over the successful experiment of 1300 km long range Ghauri Ballistic Missile. It would further strengthen the defense of the country, it hoped. The meeting felicitated all the armed forces engineers, scientists and army strategic force over this great success.
Through another resolution the cabinet meeting expressed sorrow over the damages and destruction caused by a recent earthquake in the brethren Islamic country – Indonesia. It prayed for the departed souls in the quake and to grant fortitude to the bereaved families.
The cabinet condemned the forces that are entering into agreements with India on supply of weapons. Another resolution reposed confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and expressed satisfaction over the vision of the Premier for prosperity of people and development of the State.
