Pakistan Navy has played vital role against international terrorism, pirates: President Arif Alvi
KARACHI: President Arif Alvi has said Pakistani navy has played a vital role against international terrorism and pirates.
“ Pakistan Navy has played a significant role against international terrorism and pirates. Pakistan Navy Flat Tanker PNS Moawin built in collaboration with Turkey is equipped with state of the art technology which will discharge its professional obligations in forceful manner”, the president said this while addressing the commissioning ceremony of Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker in the metropolis.
He held “ we are proud of brother country like Turkey. PNS has come into being in Pakistan Navy in collaboration with Turkey. Commissioning of first combat support ship is matter of pride which is equipped with state of the art technology. This masterpiece will play important role in operational preparedness and capabilities of Pakistan Navy, he added.
He said that efforts are underway to build consensus on protecting fish reservoirs in the country because maritime economy is victim of inattention. “ We will have to maintain discipline in fish industry too”, he urged.
