Islamabad: World Food Day will be observed on October 16 (Tuesday) across the globe including Pakistan with an aim to raise awareness about issues of poverty and hunger.
Various Seminars and events will be arranged on World Food Day by civil society, Health Departments and Agriculture Department across Pakistan.
The United Nations World Food Day is observed every year on October 16.
According to a report, the total number of people having no sufficient food to eat, globally are more than 1billion while in Pakistan poor people are bound to spend more than 70% of his salary on food expenses due to inflation.
