Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and a University of Somalia signed a MoU to promote academic research in different disciplines, through a collaborative framework and mutual exchanges.
The MoU inked by the Registrar AIOU Dr. Muhammad Zaigham Qadeer and the visiting Chancellor of Upper Jubba University, Baidoa Dr. Yusu Ibrahim Abdirahman.
It was agreed that the two sides will work together to take benefit of each other’s initiatives and working procedure for promoting research culture.
They could also undertake joint ventures in specific discipline, relating to research. Special areas of interest for mutual collaboration will be Islamic studies, learning of Arabic language and teachers’ education.
The collaborative partnership will both at administrative and Faculty’s level.
