Islamabad: Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed has said that all projects including China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be timely completed.
Speaking on calling attention notice in National Assembly on Tuesday, he said, “Government will complete all projects under CPEC as well as motorways and other projects on time.”
He also responded the Opposition’s objections and said, the PTI government will complete those projects too which were launched by previous government in their tenure but they could not complete it.
If opposition raises objections over Peshawar Motorway, so they should visit it and will surely find no pitcher like Multan there, he replied to the opposition criticism.
Responding on Murtaza Javed Abbasi, PML-N member, objection, the Minister said, Abbasi awarded contract of a project in Shangla to his brother in 2010, whenever I spoke about it, he ignored it. But I want to give him good news that our government worked for the whole country and that was again our government which made the feasibility report for the KPK Shangla project in its previous tenure. And now we are starting work on it.
He said PML-N government brought two packages of Hazara Motorway in 2017 but work on it was very slow and the project could not be completed. Previous government said Saudi Arabia provided money for this project, but when we inquired where is the money, they said it was promised but was not received.
“There must be concerns on the delay in Hazara Motorway project. Our government is overseeing it on daily basis and we are working on it also. We are pleased that we will do what they could not in five years,” he added.
