Lahore: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted a report in Supreme Court (SC) regarding Punjab companies’ hefty salaries scandal case.
NAB has submitted the report of case regarding alleged corruption in 56 Punjab public-sector companies in SC.
It is stated in report that 313 million rupees has been recovered from officers who received high salaries.
SC two member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) took up the case regarding officers receiving hefty salaries in 56 companies for hearing in SC Lahore registry.
DG NAB presented the reports on court’s direction.
DG NAB informed court that total 432 million rupees were to be recovered from officers working in these companies, out of which 313 million rupees have been returned while 118 million rupees have to be recovered from 9 officers.
The court directed 9 officers to submit their answers on DG NAB’s reports.
CJP Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took sou motu notice on the officers receiving hefty salaries in 56 Punjab companies and ordered NAB to recover hefty salaries amountfrom these officers.
