Abbottabad: Two Station House Officers (SHOs) and Moharrar in Abbotabad have been suspended for not registering the First Information Report (FIR) in the case of a sexually assaulted woman.
“District Police Officer (DPO) Abbotabad Abbas Majeed Marwat, acting on the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) orders, suspended the SHOs and registrars of Havelvian and Mirpur police stations for not registering FIR of a sexually assaulted woman and directed ASP Sonia Shamroz for the inquiry.” Spokesman DIG Hazara, Muhammad Alam Shinwari said.
A probe team, under SP Investigation department had been formed that will submit their report to DIG in two days.
“IG Khyber Pakstunkhwa has been informed about the situation,” sources said.
