MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK legislative assembly resumed its session in Muzaffarabad on Friday.
Two legislative bills – “the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Bureau 5th amendment act 2017” and “the Criminal Law amendment act 2018”, after reports of committees were approved by the house. The legislative bill “The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Income Tax (Adaptation and validation) ordinance 2018 was referred to select committee while the house agreed to refer Martyrs Endowment Fund Act 2018 in the light of recommendations of standing committee, to law department for further review.
Twenty resolutions were presented during the four days session of legislative assembly. The members of assembly took part in comprehensive debates on them before they were formally approved by the house.
Those who took part in the debate on resolutions included Syed Iftikhar Gillani, Chaudhry Muhammad Shahzad, Mohtarma Riffat Aziz, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Farooq Sikandar Khan, Farooq Sikandar Khan, Sardar Khalid Ibrahim Khan, Chaudhry Tariq Farooq and Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan.
The house after meeting four days was adjourned sine die by the deputy speaker Sardar Farooq Tariq.
