Karachi: 2 accused have died and 4 have been arrested during alleged police encounter in different areas of Karachi.
According to the police, a police encounter happened near scout colony at Abu Al-Hassan Isfahani road in which 2 target killers were killed who were identified as Rehan Bangali and Masoom. Rehan Bangali killed police officer Aslam Qadri by firing in 2012; he also killed a citizen in 2017. The police are checking criminal record of second target killer Masoom in different police stations and a weapon has been recovered from his possession.
Police have arrested an injured robber in another police encounter at Bagh-e-Korangi Karachi.
Injured robber Identified as Hammad has remained involved in different incidents of robbery and mugging.
The arrested accused Hammad can be seen easily in the CCTV footage of petrol pump robbery at Shahrah-e-Faisal, police have already arrested the two accomplices of accused while mobile phone and weapon has been recovered for his possession.
In Gulshan-e-Iqbal block 2, accused entered in to a house for robbery, police got information on 15 and immediately started proceedings. Police cordoned off house and accused opened fire, in the reply police arrested an accused in injured condition while 2 other escaped from the spot.
The two other accomplices of accused were also arrested during searching while weapon and stolen goods have been recovered from their possession.
The investigation is in process following registration of cases against arrested accused.
