Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) In continuation to its execution of zero-tolerance against narcotics, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 447.51 Kgs Tons narcotics valuing Rs 1.06 Billion internationally, arrested 43 persons including 3 foreigners involved in drug smuggling and impounded 14 vehicles conducting 26 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 227.71 Kg Hashish, 173.15 Kg Opium, 33.37 Kg Heroin, 5 Kg Amphetamine, 6.41 Kg Methamphetamine and 1.87 Kg Cocaine.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta intercepted a Toyota Fielder car near Railway Station, Quetta and recovered 3 Kg Hashish & 500 Gram Methamphetamine (ICE) from the vehicle. A person onboard namely Sayed Khan resident of Quetta have also been arrested during the operation. In another intelligence based operation conducted at Captain Safar Khan Shaheed Chowk, Qambrani Road, Quetta ANF Quetta intercepted a Suzuki Cultus car and recovered 360 Gram Methamphetamine (ICE) from the vehicle. Driver of the vehicle namely Fazalullah resident of Chaghi was also arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Quetta intercepted an Auto Rickshaw at Old Truck Adda, Link Road, Near Railway Phatak, Quetta and recovered 3.4 Kg Opium and 4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of Abdul Rahim & Hikmat Ullah both resident of Quetta who were arrested from the Rickshaw. In fourth operation, ANF Quetta arrested Khadim Hussian, Aamir, Ali Nawaz and Zaheer Muhammad all resident of Panjgur from Addah Sarawan, Rudinizia Petrol Pump, Tasp Road, Khudabandan, Panjgur and recovered 4.2 Kg Hashish, 450 Gram Opium & 150 Gram Heroin from their personal possession.
ANF Rawalpindi, intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Chungi No. 26, GT Road, Islamabad and recovered 2 Kg Heroin from a trolley bag present in the vehicle. Two persons present in the vehicle Aman Ahmed & Sheraz Zaroob both resident of Kotli, Azad Jammu & Kashmir were arrested at the spot. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a Nigerian National Desmond Nduka Nnaja from Islamabad International Airport on suspicion of ingested narco capsules in his stomach. The arrested accused was admitted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi where he delivered 63 narco filled capsules. Moreover, 5 Cocaine filled capsules (weighing 880 Gram) were also recovered from undergarments of arrested accused. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Honda Civic car near Indus Chachi Restaurant, Kashmir Highway, Islamabad and recovered 8 Kg Hashish concealed in side doors of the vehicle. Bakhmeen Khan resident of Khyber Agency & his lady accomplice Nishad Bibi resident of Peshawar were also arrested in the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Sultan Ayaz resident of Bannu from Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.02 Kg Heroin from trolley bag of the arrested accused. The accused intended to fly for Dubai by Flight No. PA-210.
ANF Lahore arrested an accused Muhammad Ramzan resident of Lahore and recovered 5 Kg Heroin and 3 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. The accused was arrested near Wahgah Border. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Bhatti Hospital Chowk, Kasur Bypass, Kasur and recovered 10 Kg Heroin & 25.4 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the vehicle. Three persons onboard Muhammad Saeed & Ejaz Ahmed resident of Lahore and Muhammad Nawaz resident of Kasur were arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda CG-125 and a Honda CD-70 Motorcycles and recovered total of 2.1 Kg Hashish from the riders namely Yasir Mehmood and Aman Ullah both resident of Sialkot. Both were arrested near Green Touch Hotel, Shahaba Phatak Chowk, Sialkot. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Civic car near Kala Shah Kaku, Motorway Toll Plaza, Sheikhupura and recovered 36 Kg Opium & 48 Kg Hashish from its CNG Cylinder placed in trunk (diggi). A person onboard Imran Ali resident of Nankana Sahib was arrested from the car. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore arrested a Nigerian National Uche Amaoge from Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 11.2 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in his bag. The arrested accused intended to fly for Doha (via Qatar) by flight No. QR-625. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Noman resident of Mardan near Saeed Chowk, Phool Mandi, Sagian Road, Sheikhupura and recovered 5 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In seventh operation, ANF Lahore arrested Muhammad Shoaib and Muhammad Bilal resident of Khanewal near Govt Girls Primary School, Basti Manak Haraj, Khanewal and recovered 4.5 Kg Hashish & 500 Gram Opium from their personal possession. In eighth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Civic car from M4 Motorway Toll Plaza, Gojra and recovered 2 Kg Heroin from secret cavities of the vehicle. Two persons onboard Nasir Khan resident of Hangu & Salim Khan resident of Charsadda were also arrested. In ninth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Imtiaz Ahmed resident of Mandi Bahauddin from Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 5 Kg Amphetamine (in liquid form) from his luggage. The arrested accused intended to fly for Jeddah (KSA) by Flight No. PK-763. In tenth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Ghulam Nabi & Muhammad Hussain both resident of Kasur from Ahmed Shaheed Post, C Company, Ghatti Kalanjar, Kasur and recovered 2 Kg Heroin form their personal possession. In eleventh operation, ANF Lahore arrested a Nigerian National Friday Richard Nwigwe from Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 990 Gram Cocaine from his stomach. The arrested accused has come to Paksitan from Nigeria via Dubai by flight No. FZ-0343.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Honda Civic car from GT Road, Peshawar and recovered 37.2 Kg Hashish & 81.6 Kg Opium from trunk (diggi) of the vehicle. A person onboard namely Muhammad Hamza resident of Lahore have also been arrested at the spot. In another intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted another Honda Civic car from Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 79.2 Kg Hashish & 49.2 Kg Opium concealed in secret cavities of the vehicle. Driver of the vehicle Junaid resident of Peshawar have been arrested at the spot. In third operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near parking of Peshawar International Airport and arrested Mukhtar Ahmed resident of Swabi who intended to fly for Riyadh (KSA) by flight No. PA-674. Detailed search of the accused resulted in recovery of 1.040 Kg Methamphetamine (ICE) which was tactfully concealed in the bottom of his trolley bag. Driver of the vehicle namely Umar Hayat resident of Charsadda was also arrested at the spot during the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested two persons namely Asim resident of Mansehra and Hafeez Ur Rehman resident of Abbottabad from Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad and recovered 2 Kg Hashish from their personal possession.
In an information based operation, ANF Karachi arrested Zohaib Khan resident of Swabi from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 4.51 Kg Methamphetamine (in liquid form) concealed in his luggage. The accused person intended to fly for Riyadh (KSA) by Flight No. WY-326. Initial investigations led to arrest of Ali Sher resident of Swabi who was accomplice of the arrested accused. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a Suzuki Bolan from Landhi Railways Station, Karachi and recovered 2 Kg Opium from the vehicle. Two person onboard Altaf & his wife & accomplice Nasreen both resident of Karachi were arrested from the vehicle. In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested Shah Nawaz resident of Dadu & Talib Ali resident of Hyderabad near Isra University, Hyderabad and recovered 2.11 Kg Hashish from their personal Possession.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
