London: The former president and prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar M Yaqoob Khan has said that India’s true face stands exposed before the world after Modi Government’s decision to call off proposed meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
The former premier made these assertions while speaking at a luncheon hosted in his honour by Anjum Jeral the president Pakistan Peoples Party (Women wing UK) here on Wednesday. PPP leaders including Mohsin Bari, Mian Saleem, Agha Tanveer and others were present on the occasion. Referring to Pakistan’s principled stance on the issue of Kashmir Sardar Muhammand Yaqoob Khan said that Pakistan seeks a peaceful solution of lingering dispute in line with the UN resolutions but Indian has been running away from dialogue with Pakistan. He said that international community must take notice of Indian dilly dallying tactics and influence upon the government of India to resolve Kashmir dispute that happens to be the bone of contention in the region. “We are not scared of Indian army chief’s threatening statements” he said adding that Kashmiris will stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan army to thwart India’s nefarious designs.
Denouncing the cross-LoC shelling by Indian army across the line of control Khan said that India was trying to stifle Kashmiris’ struggle by use of force. He, however, maintained that New Delhi cannot keep Kashmiris hostage for a long time.
