Qureshi to meet US secretary of state on October 02

New York: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will meet his US counterpart secretary of state Mike Pompeo on October 02.
Qureshi is in US at present to attend UN General Assembly (GA) session who will present Pakistan stance on international issues during his address to GA session in New York on Septmber 29 and he will also place before the International community the ongoing Indian forces brutalities against the innocent Kashmiris in held Kashmir.
Qureshi while addressing a joint press conference alongside Pakistan ambassador in US Ali Jahanagir Siddiqui said earlier “ US has always leveraged benefit from Pak-US ties. But we will now do what is in our interest.
He held our policy is only “Pakistan, Pakistan and only Pakistan”. We will discharge our obligation in maintaining relations with US but is there only our responsibility in the region”, he added.
“ We will maintain relations with China alongside US because our ties with the both countries are very vital. We want relations on the basis of mutual respect and equality”, he held.
Expressing surprise over cancellation of meeting between foreign ministers from India he said “ cancellation of meeting after willingness is beyond comprehension.
