Islamabad/Rawalpindi: Committee probing Hanif Abbasi picture scandal in Adiala Jail has declared more than 50 police personnel guilty besides declaring jail superintendent innocent .
IG of Prisons Shahid Saleem had constituted a committee for carrying out investigation in giving VIP protocol to an ordinary man, Hanif Abbasi against jail rules and regulations.
According to the Committee’s report, Jail superintendent was declared as innocent in the whole case while more than 50 police personnel were declared as guilty and recommendations have been made to initiate departmental inquiry against them.
On the other hand, committee didn’t consider to bring high official of jail under ambit of investigation as only home secretary is competent to hold inquiry against senior officials of jail.
