Lahore: Two persons have been killed while one has sustained injuries during firing over dowry dispute in Kahna area of Lahore.
According to media reports, the victim, identified as Azam, 25, resident of Kahna got married with his uncle’s daughter, Kishwar, five years ago but due to some domestic dispute divorce took place between them.
A day before, family members of Kishwar, identified as Bilal and Zubair came at Azam’s house to take back dowry of her but a clash took place among them. In infuriation, Bilal and Zubair opened fire upon him and his brother, Haider and father Latif.
As a result, Azam and his brother died on the spot while their father suffered serious injuries that were rushed to nearby local hospital for first aid.
Police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to morgue for autopsy.
Police have also registered a case and started an investigation.
