ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has ordered for issuing notices to all big schools on the matter of spike in fees by private schools.
The court also decided to club all the cases pending hearing in SC and high courts in respect of private schools.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar during the hearing of a case Tuesday remarked “ we are fixing the matter for hearing by making big schools parties. Schools have to defend themselves on their own. The cases pertaining to fees of private schools will be heard in SC on October 04 .
On the other hand Islamabad High Court (IHC) in its decision on August 01 had declared the recovery of fees by private schools in Islamabad from the students for summer vacations period valid and allowed them to collect fees.
Earlier a single bench of IHC presided over by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui on May 18, 2018 had restrained the private schools from collecting fees during summer vacations from students
