KARACHI: Dozens of encroachments were removed from roads, streets and footpaths during an anti-encroachment operation by the Deputy Commissioner (DC), West on Friday.
The encroachments were removed from Banaras bridge, Orangi Town 5 no Chowrangi and Mominabad. The campaign launched by Deputy Commissioner West Ms. Shadia Jaffery led by Assistant Commissioner (AC) Orangi Town Jhaman Das.
The officials of DMC West, Police, fire brigade and K-Electric participated in the operation against encroachments, said a statement.
DC West has called upon the business community to cooperate with the administration in removal of encroachments.
