Karachi : The Mayor of Karachi Wasim Akhtar has said that he welcomes the formation of judicial commission to probe the 12 May tragedy.
“We welcome the formation of judicial commission to probe the 12 May tragedy. It was our demand for long time”, Akhtar said while speaking to media at Mazar-i-Quaid, Karachi.
He said the constitution was not such a book that could not be amended. It should be amended with the passage of time.
The Mayor also talked about the ongoing water issue in the country and said, big dams should be made. Karachi faced more water related problems. It was never provided with complete funds. Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has also donated money to the Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dams Fund.
