LHC dismisses contempt of court notice against Ahsan Iqbal
LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed contempt of court notice against PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal.
A 3-member bench of LHC presided over by Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi took up the case for hearing Monday.
At the inception of hearing Ahsan Iqbal appeared in the court.
Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi remarked “ another petition has come against you wherein it is stated that you should not be forgiven at any cost.
The court remarked that “ Ahsan Iqbal attitude during hearing of the case remained better. He while admitting his mistake said he would avoid giving such statements in future.
The court while accepting unconditional apology of Ahsan Iqbal dismissed the contempt of court plea against him.
Justice Mazahar Iqbal while addressing Ahsan Iqbal remarked “ you are role model for your people. You have won the election. You should do for the development of country what you can do.
In response, Iqbal said he was grateful to the court. “I will be more careful in the future,” he said.
