Islamabad: Government has decided to withdraw nomination of Atif Mian from Economic Advisory Council (EAC).
Federal Minister for information Fawad Chaudhry in a message on social networking site twitter informed that government of Pakistan has decided to withdraw name of Atif Mian from Economic Advisory Committee as it wants to move forward by taking along all religious and social sects of society.
Chaudhry further said that if a nomination creates any divergent expression then it will not be appropriate.
Federal Minister in another tweet said that the ideology of Prime Minister Imran Khan is the State of Madina adding PM and all members of his cabinet are true Ashiq e Rasool (PBUH).
He said that Khatam e Nabuwat is part of our faith and recent success of government against matter of blasphemous caricatures related to our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was also an expression of it.
On the other hand, PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan in his tweet said, “Atif Mian was asked to step down from the Advisory Council and he has agreed. A replacement would be announced later”.
It is vital to mention here that government had nominated Atif Mian as member of Economic Advisory Committee who hailed from Ahmadia class upon which PTI faced severe criticism from some religious and political circles and also on social media.
