Sukkur: Police and Rangers conducted search and combing operation in different areas of Sukkur as part of security arrangements ahead of advent pf Muharram-ul-Haram as per National Action Plan.
To maintain law and order situation and avert any untoward situation Sukkur police and Rangers have started ‘combing’ operations within the city and in the suburbs of Sukkur.
The police along with Ranger personnel raided different hotels, guest houses, passenger lounges, bus stops and conducted strict searching on the entrance and exit points of the city.
Police also raided different houses, took 30 suspects into custody and further investigation is underway.
Important Chowks of Sukkur , surrounding areas of different Imam Bargahs and streets related to the routes for mourning ’ processions were also searched by police and Rangers.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Syed Asad Raza said that search and combing operation has been carried out to ensure peace and security during Muharram.
