Lahore: The chief selector of Pakistan Cricket Board,Inzimam Ul Haq has announced the Pakistan squad for the 14th Asia cup,Hafeez has not selected for the squad.
He announced the names in a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Sarfaraz will lead the squad while All-rounder Muhammad Hafeez has been replaced by Shan Masood for the 14th Asia cup scheduled at United Arab Emirates(UAE) this month.
The chief selector said that he want to check the new players at the Asia cup.
Regarding Hafeez,He told the media that Hafeez’s career is not ended and his name is present in world cup plan of Pakistan team.
He told the media that Imad Waseem was given three chances to prove his fitness but due to injury, he could not clear the fitness test.
Six fast bowlers have selected for the squad considering the UAE conditions.
Chance is not given to some players even they perform well.
Criticizing Kamran Akmal’s statement he said that he selects the players to play cricket and not to beat others with a bat,so the dropped players should not have to disheart.
Other selected players contain Fakhar Zaman, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Junaid Khan, Usman Shinwari, Shaheen Afridi, Asif Ali, Haris Sohail, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Nawaz,Hasan Ali and Muhammad Aamir.
