Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The members of AJK cabinet during a meeting here on Monday decided in principle to devise a comprehensive Transport policy to put an immediate end to the misuse of government vehicles in the region.
In this regard the chief secretary has been advised to present a detailed record of the vehicles in the next cabinet meeting. The meeting, which was chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and attend by senior minister Ch. Tariq Farooq, Raja Nisar, Dr. Najeeb Nazi, Barister Iftikhar Gilani, Mushtaq Minhas and others revised the working hours of government employees. According to new schedule the secretariat employees will now work from 9 Am to 5 PM whereas in district offices the duty hours will be from 9AM to 4PM.
While discussing in detail the environmental impacts of the Neelum & Jehlum power project the cabinet decided to raise the issue of environmental consequences with central government. To overcome the environmental problems the participants of meeting expressed their firm resolve to implement the already approved projects to tackle this highly important issue.
During the session it was also decided to introduce a proper monitoring system in government offices whereby the employees attendance and performance could be supervised effectively.
On this occasion additional Secretary General Farhat Ali Mir, Inspector General Police, additional chief secretary and high officials of other relevant departments were present.
